  • Whatever the time of year you chose to visit the Fowey Estuary you are sure to find something going on. Alongside the well known Fowey Festival of Arts & Literature (formerly The du Maurier Festival), Fowey Royal Regatta Week, Fowey Valley Music Festival and Fowey Christmas Market, there are many more events taking place around the Fowey Estuary throughout the year.
  • Fowey’s picturesque town centre has a variety of shops and eateries to enjoy, all set amongst the historic buildings of Fowey. There is a strong Celtic connection, maritime history and literary involvement with Daphne du Maurier, Rosamunde Pilcher and many more including the successful Poldark series.

    • Many of the species can be seen in the Fowey Aquarium in the heart of the town, which includes a very rare Albino Bull Huss. The Royal Fowey Yacht Club is based on the harbour front. A Pilot Gig Rowing Club races in and around Cornwall, with an event at Fowey being held the same week as the Regatta. The club launches from Caffa Mill slip.

    • Fabulous Fowey Regatta Time! And the town is BUZZING! There are - boats races each day of the week, a pasty eating contest, a fabulous traders carnival, crabbing competitions, flora dances, swimming races, fun runs, a very interesting town band, breathtaking fireworks and much much more.
    • This was the perfect place to stay for our regular visit to Fowey for Regatta Week. It is very conveniently situated for the town, which is only a short walk down the hill. And there is the additional benefit of being able to park a car. Vivien was very welcoming and provided everything we needed. It felt like home from home.

This is always an excellent week of racing for Cruisers (IRC & Byron ratings), the Falmouth Working Boats, local fleets of Troys and Fowey Rivers, as well as three fleets of dinghies.
